On May 9th, 2018, EWNJ honored 32 of New Jersey’s most influential and accomplished women leaders, including First Lady Tammy Murphy, at its signature biennial gala, Salute to the Policy Makers. In addition to the honorees, EWNJ also recognized the gender diversity efforts of companies named to its 2018 Business Honor Roll. The 2018 Business Honor Roll companies are Prudential Financial and South Jersey Industries.
On May 22th, 2018, Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss, the Irvington Township Council, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, and HillTop Partners Urban Renewal LLC will cut the ribbon on 280 Park Place. The project is a 114 unit mixed-income residential community located on the former Irvington General Hospital site.
On May 20th, 2018 the City of Plainfield hosted the New Jersey State Bicycle Championships, which featured over 200 professional cyclists from around the world. The day also featured The Taste of Plainfield, which offered a variety food options from local restaurants and vendors. Plainfield’s upcoming LimeBike bicycle sharing initiative was also highlighted.
On May 15th, 2018 on the steps of City Hall, Mayor Adrian O. Mapp hosted a press conference to announce that the City of Plainfield was selected to host the 2018 New Jersey State Bicycle Championships and to announce the June 1st launch of the city’s bike share initiative, which is the first LimeBike program in the state.
