While Adenah’s restaurants are operating in a limited capacity, this restaurateur and developer is serving free breakfast and lunch to families in need at her 3 IHOP locations. Until school reopens, families in Newark, Irvington, and Paterson will be able to take out pancakes for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch on weekdays. Not only is Adenah also working with Irvington Township Councilwoman Jamilah Beasley to deliver free meals to seniors, but she is also ensuring that all of her employees, whether they can work or not, are paid for the next 2 weeks.

While Rising Tide Capital has closed its offices and suspended its in-person programming, the organization remains committed to advocating for small business owners and entrepreneurs from disadvantaged communities. Passaic County CASA has joined a coalition of 5 Paterson NJ nonprofits to advocate for the city’s most vulnerable populations and ensure that their needs are met.

PC CASA has ceased in-person home visits for the month of March and closed their office, but all employees are working remotely. CASA will continue to recruit volunteers, hold information sessions, and facilitate initial volunteer training virtually.
