Tara Dowdell Group supported United Way of Greater Newark (UWGN) with planning and executing Financially Lit, an interactive virtual discussion in honor of Financial Literacy Month. Viewers tuned in to get all of their budget, debt, and investment questions answered live.
We are proud to have supported Executive Women of New Jersey with planning and executing the 2022 Salute to the Policy Makers Gala. This year’s event was especially exciting because, in addition to honoring New Jersey’s exceptional women leaders, it also celebrated EWNJ’s 40th anniversary. Proceeds from the event go towards scholarships for the next generation of women leaders.

TDG also supports Essex County Surrogate’s Court (ECSC) in meeting the needs of its community. Last December, in partnership with Rutgers Law School, we coordinated with ECSC to plan a CLE workshop on the nuts and bolts of adoption. Additionally, Essex County Surrogate Alturrick Kenney published an op-ed in Blavity identifying a need for more people of color to be involved in every stage of the adoption process.
We’re honored to have supported The Rockefeller Foundation and United Way of Greater Newark on The Newark Equitable Vaccine Initiative, the first-ever fully community-powered campaign to increase access and equity in vaccine distribution in Newark. Our campaign wrapped up earlier this year with a video featuring community members encouraging others to continue the conversation about getting vaccinated. Take a look.
TDG client YWCA Northern New Jersey recently received $500,000 in federal Community Project Funding. The funds will be used to provide job coaching and professional skill development for women financially affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
The organization was also featured in NJ Business Beat for their creation of a groundbreaking Anti Harassment Training Model. Additionally, CEO Helen Archontou was featured speaking on their recent announcement expanding their professional support services for women.
