Passaic County CASA Executive Director Erica Fischer-Kaslander’s Addresses How the Opioid Crisis Affects Children in Foster Care

Passaic County CASA is seeing an increase of very young children in foster care due to the opioid crisis. The organization, which exists to recruit, train and support volunteer advocates for children in foster care, wanted to raise attention to their latest challenge, while reminding the public of the need for more advocates. On December 18, not only was PC CASA featured on NJTV, but Executive Director Erica Fischer-Kaslander’s op ed was published in the Star Ledger—the state’s largest newspaper.
